Sourced from La Esperanza Farm in Colombia's Valle del Cauca region, this exceptional coffee is produced by Café Granja La Esperanza, a renowned specialty coffee producer recognised for its innovative cultivation and processing techniques.

Led by third-generation coffee growers Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera, Café Granja La Esperanza operates across five farms in Colombia's mountainous regions. Known for introducing the Geisha variety to Colombian soil, the family continues to push the boundaries of specialty coffee through experimental varieties and carefully developed fermentation methods.

Mandela is a unique variety developed by Café Granja La Esperanza through crossbreeding Colombian Caturra, Timor Hybrid and Ethiopian landraces. Produced using an extended Natural XO fermentation and drying process, this distinctive lot delivers remarkable depth and complexity. The result is a rich and expressive cup, showcasing layers of ripe berries, tropical fruit and dark cherries, complemented by a smooth caramel sweetness.
